To gain some weight, you can increase your calories and protein intake. Add milk and milk products, icecreams, fruits and vegetables, pulses, eggs, chicken, soyabean etc.

Hello Lybrate user add to calories in your diet in buying increasing the consumption of daily product do not cut back on the fat contain in your milk .add a healthy portion of red meat to your diet but keep in mind not to overdo. Hello lybrate-user, first you need to gain weight ,for this you should increase your calories and proteins intake. For muscle gain eat high protein diet like eggs, chicken, paneer, soyabean, pulses, tofu, fish, sprouts etc. Eat 5-6 small and frequent meals in a day. You can add peanut butter, fruits and vegetable salads ,milk and milk products. Choose healthy oils like soyabean oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, olive oil instead of ghee or butter because of satuated fats, focus on high fiber diet and drink 3- 4 liters water in a day.

I am going to gym and do workout for 2 hrs. I need a protein diet and my trainer says you need 130-140 g of protein daily. What should my diet plan and what should I eat. My height is 5 ft 10 inch and weight is 68 kg.

Hello lybrate-user, your weight is normal according to your height. You can eat natural food products which are high in proteins like eggs ,fish, chicken, pulses, soyabean, paneer etc. Restrict junk food or high fat diet. Choose 5-6 small and frequent meals in a day.

Hello Lybrate user, according to your height you have to reduce at least 10-12 kgs. Drink plenty of water. Take fresh fruits like papaya, orange,apple, guava, strawaberries, peaches, plums and vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, ghia, tori ,tinda lady finger etc. Include protein in your breakfast like egg/panner. Avoid fried foods, dal,rice and heavy items at night. Take early and light dinner as much as possible. Do some exercise like walking, cardio atleast 30 mins in a day.

I am 23 years old but look like 19 or 20 because of my thin body. I want to grow my body increase my weight but I can not do it I eat a lot of food everything to gain weight but eating lots of food also can not affect my body it remains the same. Hello dear please include more protein in urs food ,drinking homemade protein smoothies can be a highly nutritious and quick way to gain weight ,just like 1-combine 1 banana 1 scoop chocolate whey protein and 1 tablespoon peanut or other nut butter .and .2- combine 1 cup of spinach, 1 avocado, 1 banana ,1 cup of pineapple and 1 scoop of unflavored or vanilla whey protein .all these smoothies provide 400-600 calories along with a high amount of protein and minerals to increase weight .take rice ,milk, nut and nuts butters, red meats, potato and starches ,salmon and oily fish ,protein supplements ,dried fruit in your food for more information join diet clinic .

You need to have a healthy and balanced diet to gain stamina and strength. Also you need to lose some weight. We can plan your daily diet charts so that you can achieve your health goals without any medicines. You need to increase your protein intake - eggs, milk, pulses, soybeans, kala chana. She is pure vegetarian bt thin girl. She takes food which is not good quality food. She starts her day with a tea & namkeen. She have proper food at 10a. M. You need to increase your calorie intake by increasing your carbohydrates & protein intake. You can have parathas, cheese sandwiches in your breakfast. Increase 1 chapati more in your lunch & dinner. Add rice in your lunch. Include vegetables, dal, salad ,curd in your daily meals. You can have milkshakes, cookies fruits in between your meals. Add sweet dish. Eat every 2-3 hours.

Hi Devan, oats is a healthy food ,rich in fiber and other nutrients. It helps i n weight loss, cholesterol control, can lower your risk for several diseases, including high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. It does not cause any knee pain or joint pain. It does not reduce sperm count also.

I am a 17 year boy. But I am overweighted (79 kg). My daily schedule (college student) Mon- Fri is 9-3 at college then rest of the time at home. After that I sleep for about 2 hours and self study till max 1 am. Then I wake Up 7: 30 at morning. And the process continues. I know I don't eat too much and completely avoids Junk Food. Also I cannot disturb my study time. What should I do to reduce weight gradually? I want It to bring to normal weight. Please help.

Hello lybrate-user, you have to make changes in your dietary pattern like drink plenty of water (8-10 glasses), consume high fiber (broccoli, lentils, bran flakes, oatmeal) and protein rich food, eat more fruits (papaya, apples, strawbeeries,) and green vegetables. Do brisk walking atleast 20-30 mins in a whole day. As you are not eating too much but your lifestyle is totally different, so you have to make time for yourself to remain fit and healthy.

These days the latest study encourages having egg yolk (yellow portion) where as earlier doctors used to tell us to avoid it. We are in fix, Please advise whether to have it or to avoid it.

hello dinesh, Eggs are a great source of a complete high quality protein with few calories. One whole egg has 5.5 grams of protein in only 68 calories. Eggs contain choline, which is important, especially since our bodies can not produce enough of it. Without enough choline, you can also become deficient in another essential nutrient, folic acid.Let’s take a closer look at each. Egg whites are a low-calorie, fat-free food. They contain the bulk of the egg’s protein. The egg white contains about 4 grams of protein, and only 17 calories, whereas, Egg Yolks carry the cholesterol, the fat and saturated fat of the egg. However, what is often overlooked are the many nutrients that come with that, such as the fat-soluble vitamins, essential fatty acids and other nutrients. One egg yolk has around 55 calories, 4.5 grams of total fat , 2.7 grams of protein.As you can see, the egg yolk has more actual nutrients, but in my opinion the entire egg gives the most complete nutrition.

Hello dear don't drink water before meals. This can fill your stomach and make it harder to get in enough calories. Eat more often. .Drink milk as much you can. Try weight gainer shakes. .Use bigger plates. .Add cream to your coffee. .Take creatine. .Get quality sleep. Eat heavy breakfast lunch or dinner or eat sweets after every meals

Hello lybrate-user, your age is 20 years. At this age your metabolism is very fast, so what ever yyou eat it metabolis very quickly, which is a good part. Start include each and every veg and fruits in your diet. Include 3 healthy meal, bf,lunch and dinner- with normal roti + veg + dal + salad eetc. Add snacks in between the meal. Like poha / upma/ dalia/ roasted chana etc add sweet dish in your diet.
