Fertility in a woman is the ability to conceive. Fertility depends on factors like nutrition, sexual behavior, culture and psychological conditions of a given person. Fertility refers to producing an offspring rather than the ability to produce. Among the factors that can make a person infertile are malnutrition, lack of body fat and sexually transmitted disease. Women have a cycle of pregnancy caused due to hormonal fluctuations which causes them to be fertile for a period of five days or so.
