There are many reasons in which a regular conceiving process does not take place, and many couples find ways for an artificial insemination treatment. One such conventional treatment a Gynecologist will suggest is the Intrauterine insemination (IUI) treatment. These are the type of fertility treatment that involves placing a sperm inside a woman's uterus to activate the fertilization. The main reason an IUI is performed is to increase the number of sperm that reaches the fallopian tubes and to subsequently increase the chance of fertilization. This type of Artificial insemination involves a laboratory procedure to separate fast-moving sperm from its slow moving counterparts. It can be performed with either the partner's sperm or a donor sperm - a method known as donor insemination. The main reason this type of fertilization is performed is if a regular vaginal intercourse cannot be done for a variety of reasons or if a person has a condition that prohibits him from doing it. Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) can only work if it has been confirmed that the fallopian tubes are open and healthy and this determines an IUI success rates. It is easier and less costly than Vitro fertilization. The gynecologist will determine based on the period cycles, the best possible time to ovulate and the treatment plan to carry out accordingly. The whole process is relatively painless, and since the most active sperms are used for the ovulation, the chances of fertilization will be very high. As suggested by the gynecologist, it is always better to determine a more experienced clinic for undergoing such treatment.
