Hello, to lose weight, you need to reduce your carbohydrate intake. Restrict your intake of chapatis (have 2 rotis in lunch & 1 roti in dinner) with vegetable, dal, salad and curd / raita. Avoid sweets, fried foods & junk foods. Increase your water intake to atleast 3 ltrs daily. Walk / exercise for atleast 30 min.

Any exercise leads to my knee pain I am only 32 What should b done for weight loss as walking empty stomach in morning is not possible for me I do take walk in afternoon for half hour. Weight is increase from 69 to 75 really worried now .Any exercise or even sitting for yoga knees pain starts or else there is no knees pain .Now pain has so in my foot part.

Hello lybrate-user, it is ok if you cannot walk empty stomach in the morning. But you should then walk in the afternoon or evening time, atleast for 30 -45 minutes. Also restrict your carbohydrate intake like rotis, rice (once a week, in lunch only), breads, aloo, fried foods. For knee pain, you should increase your calcium intake - have milk, curd, paneer, soybean, pulses (dals), green leafy vegetables, oatmeals. Restrict sugar, sweets, fried foods. Have lots of salad, fruits, vegetables. Drink water - 10 -12 glasses daily. hello, go for a walk at least once a day, decrease portion sizes(remember you only need to eat to gain energy, so eat bigger in the morning where you need it and less at night, give up on all unhealthy food, add more of veggies and fruits , add weight lossspecial foods like green tea/coffee,

Dear doctor, I was very lean and thin when I was 22 years old, and I was criticized very badly by others, and becoz of my thin body I have lost many opportunities in my life, to come out from this issue and as per my friends advice I have taken tests and practin tablet for one month, within in a month I became very very fat, and I put on more wait, and after some years my body became very very loose but still fat only, now I am 37 years old, I want to know will there be any side effect due to tictac& practin, I am married before 3 years still I don't have baby, kindly advice about side effect.

Hello lybrate-user, you need not take any medicines for loosing weight. It can be reduced without any side-effects with the help of a qualified and experienced dietician. HI lybrate-user, capsules are not healthy for weight gain. There may be side-effects of some of them also. You need to increase your daily food intake. Try to eat every 2 -3 hours. Add 1-2 chapatis more to your lunch & dinner. Have rice, sweetdish like kheer, custard, ice-creams, chocolates. Have fruits like banana, mango, grapes, chickoo or may be milkshakes. In evening you can have bhelpuri, aloo chaat, cheese sandwiches, burgers for your snacks.

Sir, weight gain is not that tough, only you have to plan a proper chart for you including more of protein, carbs etc. Eat in every 2 – 3 hours. Start having dry fruits, Drink plenty of water. Rice growing in fields and paddies has three edible parts – the bran, the germ, and the endosperm – just like all other whole grains. Most of us think of “brown rice” as being synonymous with whole grain rice, but in fact whole grain rice can be many different colors, depending on the variety of rice. Avoid eating rice at breakfast. If you want to loose weight then start having fibre in you breakfast, eat fruits, drink plenty of water. Hi lybrate-user, is it 8 ltrs of water or 8 glasses? Having 8 ltrs of water daily is too much. You have to take a balanced diet. For that we can plan your daily diet charts and help you lose 4-5 kg in a month without starvation, no medicines/ supplements. Diets will be based on your food habits & lifestyle.

Hi lybrate-user, only fruits & vegetables will not help to gain weight. You need to intake a high calorie diet. Eat every 2 -3 hours. Have 2 aloo / paneer parathas or 2-3 cheese sandwiches with milkshake for your breakfast. Lunch & dinner can 3 chapatis with rice and vegetable, dal, salad, curd/raita, followed by some sweetdish. In between also, have bhelpuri, aloo tikkas, burgers, pizza, maggi, fruits, chocolates. Walk for 30 minutes and also drink 10-12 glasses of water. Also sleep for 8 -9 hours.

hello, children will eat whenever they are allowed to eat. you will help them learn to regulate the food habits, just by watching portions of food, limiting in between snacking, Integrate some physical activity, sign him him up for a physical sport- dance, gymnastics, a martial arts like karate/taekwondo or basketball, anything to get him moving as opposed to sitting.

Im a 21 year old guy of 55 kg and 6 ft. I'm diabetic since 10 years and need to put on some weight. I kindly request for a DIET CHART. My present appetite is normal breakfast in the morning around 8 (say idli, dosa, puri, upma etc.) and 2 egg whites. Then again 2 chapati with curry around 11 am. I take 85 grams of brown rice with veggies and curd. Then some junk at 4 or 5 pm. Same as Lunch at Dinner with 2 egg whites. 2 glasses of milk a day. Started working out at the gym a while ago but not helping me gain weight. Please do give me good resulting DIET CHART. Thank You.

Hello sir, gaining weight while controlling your blood sugar can be difficult, you have to recognize which foods affect your blood sugar and which do not. For weight gain that also allows consistent blood sugar control, add more healthy fats to your diet . include non starchy carbs in your food like broccoli, cabbage, green veggies, egg plant. Add healthy calories to your diet, include healthy fats like avocado, olives, walnuts, almonds, seeds like flaxseeds,.

Hi Ganesh, to gain muscle, you need to increase protein intake in your diet and have a balanced diet with fruits, vegatables , pulses, salad, curd along with chapatis. Protein sources through food are milk, paneer, cheese, curd, pulses ( all dal), sprouts,soybean, nuts , if non-vegetarian, then you can have eggs, chicken, lean meat, fish also . I would also suggest that at an age of 20 yrs, you should avoid supplements and increase your diet

hello sir, to gain muscles include whole grains, oatmeal, fruits and veggies , fats (healthy fats ). consume protein in the form of chicken, fish, eggs and dairy. these are the most complete protein sources. must stay in a positive calorie balance to gain mass. eat frequent meals , eat right carbs in a right time

Hi, pumpkin seeds are good to have for sexual health besides other health benefits like helping to lower cholesterol, improving prostate function and for the prevention of heart disease, kidney stones and osteoporosis. Pumpkin seeds can be eaten raw, straight out of the pumpkin. They can also be fried on a skillet with a bit of olive oil. For those with a sweet tooth, adding a little sugar until it caramelizes in the skillet makes a tasty treat. Pumpkin seeds can also been purchased roasted and or salted and make a great addition to salads, pesto’s, granola mix and of course make an excellent “eat anywhere” snack. The usual daily dosage is 1 to 2 heaped teaspoonfuls of ground Pumpkin Seed with liquid in the morning and evening.

hello sir for weight gain calculate your basic calorie requirement , increase your calorie intake, increase the quantity of food you eat. eat 5-6 meals a day , increase your portion size. choose calorie-densefoodslike corn, potatoes, banana, mango, chiku, peanut butter, cheese. Do exercise on daily basis as exercise will stimulate your appetite and energy needs. make sure you sleep at least 7-8 hours everyday
