I am Santosh Kumar Pandey. So today I'm in front of you to share something very special and which is very common nowadays I'm seeing lots of patients suffering from sciatica. Sciatica mostly app logo ko pata hai ki sciatica kya cheez hoti hai, lekin fir bhi I would like to just give you a brief about that and what we can help into that. So you know most of the problems are due to our lifestyle, so what is that and why it is? sometimes it's common, sometime it's uncommon, but it's still what I'm seeing at my clinic right from youngest to very old ages patients are coming for the lower back pain. The pain, it travels towards the knee, some time till the ankle from the mid of the back to side-ward of the legs, knees and it's reaching to the toes also, sometimes small toes. I'm seeing that patients are suffering from sciatica, so why is it so common?

First, what I do understand is due to our lifestyle, why lifestyle? we are not exercising properly, we are not taking care of the health properly or our working style, working hours, sitting longer hours. So most of the patients they are like in the 30s and 40s, 45s and sometimes 50s also and I would say it is the unbearable type of pain they are suffering. Most commonly what I have seen are the girls after the pregnancy, they are coming to us for the pain and people who are actually working on the computer all the time or sitting for longer hours or carrying weight. Jo log bahut jyada wajan dhote hain, proper stretches nhi karte hain, so sabse badi baat hai ki yadi unhone ne dhyaan nhi diya aur ye puraana hota gya, it becomes chronic then and it's really very difficult and then there they had it. So at our clinic we are taking a lot of care for that and we are getting lots of wonderful results and I would say within ten to twenty days they're out of the problem.

So what do we do? first we check a lot of things and then we check their muscles with piriformis assist, very tight, very stiff and then of course along with that we avoid their lifestyle problems and whatever they are suffering. So what we do normally? we start with checking SLR(straight leg raise), if SLR is positive, of many cases SLR is positive of course, so we do acupuncture for them, we do physiotherapy exercises for them and the third part is their diet. So in diet we suggest what is avoidable for them it's like khatta-teekha, people are having lots of sour and spice and all these things, so mostly we avoid their bad eating habits and acupuncture is one of the magical treatment from what I am seeing at my clinic and this month I think I have seen more than 30 sciatic patients and why I am talking eagerly about this case?

because if they are not taking care of sciatica or back pain, if it becomes very chronic then it is very difficult to handle. Log 10-15 saal suffer karte hain aur bahut saare cases mein kuch din ke liye dard kuch kam ho jata hai, subside ho jata hai and again it comes back and if it remains for a longer period, it is very difficult to deal with. so friends agar kabhi bhi yadi agar kisi ko bhi aapne dekha ki is tarah ka pain ho raha hai, sciatic nerve compress ho rahi hai. It is almost a disc like cell, open the reports or MRI scan and you will see their is a herniation of the disc. So acupuncture along with exercise, physiotherapy exercises and postural awareness and with the diet, it is very much curable very much treatable.

It means whatever points you are clapping, after that clapping of your hands points are there, our vital organs are there, circulatory system start working for them, iske liye unko kahi bhi kisi bhi tarah tarah ka ka blockage ho raha ho, kahi bhi kisi tarah ka weakness ho raha ho ya kahi aap ke jo most vital organ like liver, kidney, bladder, heart, lungs aur uske alawa aur bohot sari cheeze even prostate aur uske sath sath jo hai aap ko brain related jo cheeze hai agar kahi bhi kuch blockage ho raha ho when you will start clapping like this just 20 times to if you can do twice in a day it's very effective, even if you are doing once in a day it's very effective. Uske alawa dusra it’s also superb, it’s a one technique of sujok acupressure, sujok acupuncture. You know yeh aap ka jo anghootha yeh aap ke head aur neck ko denote karta hai, 2 pass bhagwan ne is tarah se hamare shareer ki rachna kari hai ki aap is tarah se karte hai to is tarah ki feeling aati hai ki like I am just nodding my head like this way aur ye 2 ungaliya aap ki jo hoti hai ye aap ke hath aur ye 2 ungaliya hai ye aap ke pair. This area this is this area is the trunk of your body and this is your chest. So iska matlab agar aap isko touch kar rahe hote hai, isko press kar rahe hote hai iss tarah se to aap ke lungs, aap ke heart, aap ka ye pura area isse cover hota hai. Uske alawa ye sara jo area hai usme aap ke liver, kidney, bladder even stomach ye aap usko press kar rahe hote hai ya massage kar rahe hote hai.

Ab bache aap ke hath aur pair uske liye aap ko kya karna chahiye. And this is very good to you know for your body's coordination and mind coordination. How? I will show. If you just make your hand like this, just start doing. When you are doing this, breathe in; means breathing in and breathing out. Iska matlab ye aap ke ek to apne puri tarah se neck ka area, aap ke shoulders ka area ko press kiya, uske sath sath aap ke body and mind ka coordination. Aap ke kitni bar isko iss tarah se change kar kar ke aap karte hai iska matlab aap ka co-ordination badhta hai. Theek hai, agar aap young hai to itna aap ko samjhta nahi hai but if you are little elderly suppose 50,60 so its little taking efforts also. So ek ye effort aap ke liye kya karega ki aap ka coordination badhata hai uske sath sath jab aap breathing bhi kar rahe hote hain to aap ko uska double benefit mil raha hota hai. This is good for your neck, this is good for your shoulder, this is good for entire this area to make us fit. Uske baad aap ke pairo ki bari aati hai. Pairo ke liye aap ko kya karna hai aur aap ke hatho ke liye kya karna hai? Like this way like it’s a wing, same thing aap ke legs. Jab aap isko iss tarah se karenge tab aap ka jo ye friction hoga ye aap ke hath aur pair dono ko puri tarah se strengthening karta hai, isko kaise karna hai. Chest up and apne kiya breathe in. Breathe in and breathe out, breathe in and breathe out; this is very good for back pain, sciatic pain even this area which is like our inner thighs, we are not using that, we are not doing any exercise for that. In yoga there is few exercises are there which we practice like butterfly and some matsyasana and all, when we are there in the duck position, then this area is getting the strength but generally it's not.

Suppose we are doing this it means we are making the reach of our blood to the system, so this is very good for even urogenital disorders ke liye bhi bohot achha hai because area is related to urogenital. Isme kya hoga prostate ke liye bohot faida hoga, usually knee hurt mein problem ho to uske liye bohot faida hoga, frequent urinations ke liye bohot acha hoga and uske sath sath apke blood ka flow tip to top if you are doing this, if you are doing this, if you are doing this it means you are making the reach of the blood flow in the entire system. So dosto, very simple technique to be healthy, very simple technique to be healthy without any maximum effort or anything extra effort, you have to just practice 5 minutes in a day, if you can do twice its very effective and this is very good exercise for working on the computer, very active work type of people, very you know sedentary lifestyle of people; this is superb technique to practice.

Sit straight, back straight if you can smile with that you'll be feeling more better just practice like this: breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out; so this way your this muscles are going to work, chest is getting open as I told you post if you are sitting straight for 5 minutes, your postural awareness will also get will increase. So zada se zada 5 minute aur usse zada 7 minute, isse zada isko karne ki zarurat nahi hoti hai and within 5 minute 5-7 minutes you are going to feel very fresh, very nice, very energetic and this will balance your system.

So friends today I am going to talk about a very happening subject Accupuncture. And Though we have got in our centre we are practicing the complete form of acupuncture and naturopathy. And today my topic is I have chosen as acupuncture. So I am going to talk about acupuncture. So friends acupuncture is something one of the best technique which we are practicing and this is very much renowned now worldwide. Lots of countries already approved even in India now its approved subject and one of the best technique to heal people suffering from pain aches paralysis even indigestion gases one of the topmost subject this is nowadays. So acupuncture is something found you can say like 8000 years back across the world. First, it started in China and it believed like acupuncture is born in India and brought up in China. So wherever the Bodh monks went from India you can say like Srilanka China Korea Japan all the countries are practicing some form of acupressure acupuncture shiatsus or the different type of body massage treatments.

So friends acupuncture is something a very special to deal with. Lots of pain aches paralysis and lots of systemic, even systemic disorders. So how we do acupuncture or acupressure practice. So friends first we need to know the body’s constitution what is constitution. Like our body is made of five elements. Panchtatva we talk about even in Indian traditional ayurveda we talk about Panchtatva. Same things we talk about in China. Five elements Panchtatva like our bodies made of most ten most vital organ like water is related to kidney and bladder food is related to liver and gall bladder. Same way fire related to heart small intestine triple energizer and a pericardium. Earth element is related to stomach and spleen and metal is related to lungs and large intestine. So all these ten most vital organ is related to the body’s five elements. Suppose muscle pain is there or bone pain is there so we will come to know with the testing or asking the question and all and then palpating the particular muscle or area then we plan treatment local treatment or sometimes effects into the system that called systemic disorders.

So in the systemic disorder will come to know with the pulse and the meridianography. So according to that we made the plan. So if anything is the imbalance in the body. After knowing your constitution after understanding the patient constitution properly then we make a plan for the treatment. It might go ten days twenty days thirty days sometime more also but if it is very chronic it takes time. Of course, this is the proper form of the treatment. So after knowing the system well we diagnosis, we tell the patient that this much time I am going to take for your treatment. So we need to balance the energy as well as we know the stagnancy, where is the energy stagnant. Which particular area which particular part of the body which particular meridian of the body we diagnose and accordingly make the plan. So if suppose somebody is coming to us with the pain local pain muscular pain so we not need to take too much time just we need to know the stagnant area or stagnant tissue where is the problem exactly.

So we plan the treatment as a local treatment along with that some will give some digital points or some meridian related points with the channel pertaining to the particular that area. Along with that we put a big Needle on the tissue influential point we need to know which part of the tissue is connected with that particular problem. Suppose if its bones problem so we need to modify the tissue. Particular muscle tissue bone tissue or somewhere any other problems. So friends acupuncture works magically in pain cases. We are getting a wonderful result in paralysis we are getting a very good result which is actually previously people use to practice is a lot for pain and paralysis. Now we are working on the systemic disorder. Like hormonal hair skin along with that PCOD problem. We are able to solve now. I have done personally my experience there I am doing lots of cases and I am getting very good results into this.

Along with that if diabetes is there in diabetes cases we are getting very good result peripheral neuropathy we are getting very good result along with that constipation indigestion gases insomnia or somewhere is stress related any issues are there. So sleep pattern is not good we are able to correct with acupuncture. So many cases very tough cases 80 to 90% we have avoided thousands of surgery spine knee back. We do take proper care of them and accordingly, we make the plan. And we make sure that the patient is coming to us in a very suffering mode. And when he goes from here he feels happy. We are doing acupuncture here at my clinic and it’s wonderful experience to be here as an acupuncturist. We are able to help lots of cases in many type of disorders and it’s really very good experience when you can treat a patient without any medicine in all those cases where all the patients have tried so many methods of the treatment and modern and many I would say Ayurveda, allopathic along with that we can help patient without any treatment and good thing is that whatever medication we give or whatever medication they are taking along with that they can take acupuncture.


Acupuncture is recognized by WHO, and they have already given or written in how many cases we are able to help patients. so there is something like, I will share with you like any type of pain, paralysis, even dentistry and post operated case we here also, post operated cases and gases, diarrhea, lose motion, constipation, skin disorders, and stress related any disorder. In pain this is best, according to also, in my experience also, allergies and asthma, bronchitis and sleep disorders. Even in peripheral neuropathy cases, diabetic cases. My experience is also there, I have, in the supervision of medical doctors; not allowed to stop any medication but when I start the treatment of patient I go through proper medical check up with the consultation of their doctors. And, we try to check up each and every within three or four months, whatever treatment we are doing, we get them checked and then I request them to go visit their doctor for further treatment or medication.

I am very happy and very lucky to say that lots of medicines after starting the acupuncture, doctors only cut off the medications and in lots of cases we are able to stop the insulin cases. So, it is wonderful experience, very nice therapy and since it’s a very known thing that more than 95% cases are stress related problems or they call it psychosomatic disorder. So, acupuncture relaxes you so nicely that all of your problems, sometimes we don’t know we are treating for something else and you are getting result in something else. It is all because when we treat a patient we treat from the root, we try to energize the complete system of the patient. So, patient gets wonderful results in that along with worldly pain and this and that, he sometimes feels his digestive system is improved, sometimes he feels that his stress is getting better. In few cases, even insomnia, in many cases we are able to stop lots of medication of the insomnia cases and sometimes hormonal cases, sometimes depression cases, we give very good result into that.

Nowadays, it is like menopausal, lots of cases, means for girls and ladies are suffering from that menopausal problem, hot flushes and even in depression are causes of hormonal imbalances in the body and we are able to help them in all this disorders. I would say, acupuncture is something which not only going to treat your simple problems but also treating your system by working on your bodies five elements means panchtatva, so if we treat panchtatva, which is exactly like water, wood, fire, metal and earth. In all these five elements related to your body, like water is related to kidney and blood, wood is related to your liver and gall bladder, fire is related to your heart and small intestine, metal is related to your stomach and spleen same way earth is related to your lungs and large intestine. So, we are trying to balance your five elements or panchtatva of your body through one testing called acugraphy.

With, the acugraphy this is invented by US on behalf of Chinese acupuncture. So when we test your system, we try to diagnose the system through your body with the help of the machine or equipment called acugraph and after that we start treating your system. I have done at least 3000 testings till now, and I would say 2800 testing of when I do the acugraphy. I am able to diagnose almost 80-90% of the elements, so what exactly you are suffering, sometimes the root cause. I can tell you from this testing which gene of your parents or problem gene travelling into your system and according to that I can tell you what you have avoid and you have to be very careful about this careful and really people are getting better and benefitted from this therapy after testing them with the acugraph. So, acupuncture is one of the best thing because this is not new, this started more than 5000 years back invented by China. My Guru says that it is born in India and brought up in China.

In my clinic basically, we are doing acupuncture, acupressure, we are trying to help people with this therapy a lot and it is really wonderful and amazing therapy I would say. First, we should know what is acupuncture and pressure, of course. So acupressure and acupuncture are same. But in acupressure we do pressure points on the meridians and channels of the body and similarly we try to stimulate the same point and same channels with the needles, and it is amazing therapy, it is wonderful I would say, we are helping lots of people, trying to cure them. Sometimes there are magical results with acupuncture and when it opens all your blocked energy and blocked chi from the body. It gives you lot of relief from the pain, constipation, indigestion, gases, headache, cervical, back; patients are really happy with this therapy and it is going to be one of the best modes of natural therapies.

People are afraid because of the presence of the needle in acupuncture that it is not that painful. After putting the needle, sometimes you feel a little prick, and bite I would say. After that there is nothing. And sometimes we give electrical stimulation called tens and some rhythmic massage or muscular exercises you feel after that the patient feels very nice when you put that lens. In few cases we are giving it for 20 minutes and sometimes 28 minutes, it is lying in the body, that machine and needle. Mostly with the needle we do 28 minutes and with the machine 20 minutes only. And with that, you will feel very good.

With the rhythmic message in the body; you will feel some sensation toward the meridian. If your system is very sensitive you will feel more and it releases lots of pressure, lots of blockages from the body.
This is my personal experience, sometimes after a first or second session, you will feel little……..because of the detoxification of the body. You might feel little tired or sometimes you will feel little indigestion, gases I have also seen. Or I have seen some loose motion, one or two sessions, one or two days, sometimes one or two times only. And there is no other complication of doing acupuncture. Overall you will feel very good doing this. And your energy will improve. And it’s very good to enhance the body’s energy and your minds energy, your emotional energy. It releases the stress from your body. So you will be feeling very good.
