Dear Lybrateuser, - It is good to know that your investigation results are normal - to lower your bp follow some lifestyle changes such as a well balanced salt restricted diet, do regular exercise, sleep well & keep stress levels as low as possible - have a salt restricted diet, avoid fried, processed & junk foods, restrict intake of tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day if you have more, also avoid alcohol & smoking if you do - have more of fibre containing foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains like whole wheat, brown rice, oats instead of refined ones, legumes, sprouts, a handful of mixed unsalted nuts daily, low fat milk & milk products, heart healthy fats in olive, canola or sunflower oil for cooking, nuts, avocados, flax & chia seeds - do regular exercise like walking, light jogging, cycling, stretching to keep fit - sleep well for at least 7-8 at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed - destress by reading, listening to music, yoga, meditation & deep breathing to relax your mind & body - monitor bp if not much change after 2-3 months then consult a physician you may require medication.
