For DM diet follow 40% complex carbs, and 35% proteins and 25% fats in your diet. It means that do not eat white based stuff like white maida, white rice, noodles, sugar, pizzas, buns etc. Use multigrain, use millets, brown rice etc. Make sure your every meal has proteins + salads.
