About Disoral 0.07 % Syrup

Disoral 0.07 % Syrup is an anti-inflammatory painkiller. This non-steroidal drug is used to relieve symptoms of arthritis such as inflammation, pain, fever and swollen joints. This medication helps in treating conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylosis and severe menstrual pain. It is also available in tablet as well as oral solution form.

Disoral 0.07 % Syrup obstructs the production of cyclooxygenase, which synthesizes the compound called prostaglandin. This compound is responsible for symptoms of arthritis such as pain, swelling and inflammation. Therefore, Disoral 0.07 % Syrup is effective in providing pain relief.

As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), Disoral 0.07 % Syrup provides relief from pain, inflammation, stiffness, joint pain and swelling. It cures treatment of conditions such as muscular pain due to injury, rheumatoid arthritis, painful menstrual cramps, Osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and migraines. Disoral 0.07 % Syrup works by stopping the production of cyclooxygenase, which is responsible for synthesizing a compound called prostaglandin. The synthesis of these compounds in the body is what causes inflammation, swelling, fever and pain. It also inhibits the production of bacterial DNA.

The effect of this medication lasts for 11 to 12 hours. That's why doctors prescribe this medication twice a day. It is advisable to take this medication only under the guidance and recommendation of a medical practitioner. Continue this medication until you have completed the course, discontinue as per the instructions of your doctor. Try not to skip the dose.

People who are about to undergo a bypass heart surgery or have an allergy to other anti-inflammatory painkillers should not take Disoral 0.07 % Syrup. If you suffer from disorders such as heart disease, heart attack, stroke, hypertension, high cholesterol levels, diabetes, asthma or a bleeding disorder, notify your doctor before beginning a course of this medicine. Pregnant women, women trying to conceive, smokers and alcoholics should avoid taking Disoral 0.07 % Syrup, since it can have harmful effects.

The common side effects include diarrhea, heartburn, dizziness, headache, stomach pain or cramps, black stool, weight loss and fatigue.If these symptoms persist for more than two-three days, consult your doctor. An allergic reaction to Disoral 0.07 % Syrup would cause itchiness, rashes, vomiting, difficulty breathing, hives and swollen tongue or face. Some of the major side effects include increase in blood pressure, stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, nosebleeds, severe skin reactions and liver damage. Excess dose of this medication increase your chances of developing some fatal conditions such as a heart attack, a stroke or hepatitis or kidney dysfunction. Take medical help immediately if you suffer any of these symptoms.

    • Migraine

      Disoral 0.07 % Syrup helps in treating acute pain in migraine.

      This medication treats swelling and pain in joints.

    What are the contraindications of Disoral 0.07 % Syrup ?

    • Allergy

      Do not take this medication if you have a known allergy to medications belonging to NSAIDs. Severe allergic conditions like Asthma and Urticaria can be triggered in such cases.

    • Peptic Ulcer

      This medication is not recommended if you have peptic ulcer or are suspected of having it. It could cause severe swelling and bleeding in the stomach, colon and anus.

    • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (Cabg)

      Disoral 0.07 % Syrup is not recommended for relieving pain after you have undergone CABG.

      No, it does not contain habit forming tendencies.

      Missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. A dose should be skipped if the time of the second scheduled dose is near.
