It is generally reddish and makes the skin itchy and irritable, with a constant need to scratch. Some common types of rashes are eczema, poison ivy, hives and athlete's foot. Sometimes rashes on the skin may also occur due to infection from a bacteria, fungi or a parasite. Rashes are usually easily treatable with over the counter medicines.
