Dear Lybrateuser, - To build muscles you have to consume a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products such as yogurt, cheese, butter milk, cottage cheese, soya products, tofu, legumes, sprouts, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts - add a protein rich food to each of your meals & also have as a snack in between meals to boost your protein intake - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, play an outdoor game, do moderate weight lifting for 10-15 min twice a day, can do pushups, pull ups, crunches, squats to build your muscles & to keep fit - consult a dietician on forum for your exact requirement of calories & protein per day as per your level of activity, dietary habits & constitution.
