Dear Lybrateuser, - You should find time for a short exercise even for 5-10 min & try to have a balanced & healthy diet, reduce stress - try to walk in the mornings or whenever you can find time for 5-10 min especially after a meal, walk upstairs 1-2 flights in the beginning then more as you get use to, can do yoga in the room, also stretching exercises - restrict your calorie intake by avoiding fried & junk food, also stop sugar in tea & other sweet foods, have more of fibre containing foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, brand, lentils, pulses, sprouts, a handful of mixed nuts, low fat dairy & milk, healthy fats as in fish, olive, canola & sunflower oil, avocados, unsalted nuts -chew your food well, restrict carbs, add more protein foods to your diet, also have as a snack which will keep you full & not increase weight much - have a glass of water half an hour before meals as it will reduce food intake & hence calories - do regular walking where ever you go or a treadmill in gym, do yoga, meditation & deep breathing to reduce bp & also your weight - you have to modify your lifestyle at this stage it obesity & hypertension will lead to other serious complications in future - also try to sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, a disturbed or deficient sleep is one of the major factors for increase in weight & raised bp.
