Your hemoglobin level is low that is 9, that may be a cause of hair fall. Hypothyroid is also a cause of hair fall. Get your tsh test done adjust the dose of thyronorm according and take nutritious diet and medicine to treat anemia.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for query. I have seen the details given and understand the concern. However, there is no mention of tsh & t4 levels. So it is difficult to know whether the hypothyroidis is in control or not. The vitamin level you have mentioned is of d3 I think, if it is so then it is quite low. As regards the weight you are already in grade 1 obesity with abmi (body mass index) of 31.41 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter). Which means there is an excess of over 22 kgs. Usually if tsh is well controlled (around 3 to 4 mu/l), weight can be kept in control. Since there is no information about diet and exercise and as earlier mentioned tsh it is difficult to give any suggestions. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user, you must understand that if your thyroid functions are under good control with thyrox 100 ug, your weight issue is a different problem. As you are only 38, it is important for you to get your weight down to about 62-65 kg if your height is about 5'5" you can try a paleo diet (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian paleo diet plans are available on the net). You must combine this with regular active exercise like skipping or brisk walking for about an hour per day. Monitor weight monthly if you are not losing weight by about 1 kg per month on the above regimen, you may need to seek consultation. I assume your vitamin d level is low. You may need to spend an hour doing outdoor exercise in sunlight to improve levels and maintain it in the normal range for the hair loss issue you may have to seek a consultation
