I was diagnosed with high bp 3 weeks ago. I had a minor heart attack when chest pain lasted for 1 min or less ,bp was 188 over 122 since then I am on medication. For bp I am taking selkon 50 mg in morning bp does drop by few points ,gets to 133 over 93 but by evening creeps again to 150 / 100. I have 2d echo with was normal. Doc said there are minor abnormality in ecg. I am not overweight I do yoga regularly and also house hold chores keeps me active then what might be causing all this. Please advise.

Hi Ms. lybrate-user. Your bp is staying slighly on the higher side inspite of antihypertensive medications. Kindly follow dietary restrictions strictly and continue your medications regularly for a period of 3 months. Even if bp is high consult your physician regarding change of medicines.
