Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. From that I learn that you are not having adequate control on blood glucose and high bp. However, there is no mention about tsh values (to know whether hypothyroidism is in control or not), as well as lipid profile. To give any suggestions about upgrading the treatment, I need to know following details: current fasting, pp glucose levels, hba1c%, present diet pattern, drugs for diabetes with dosage, dosage of thyroxine being taken, serum creatinine, urea levels & lipid profile. It is better if you come in a private conversation, then I can give specific guidance plus even prescribe the necessary medication. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines, no drugs can be prescribed. Ideally in well controlled diabetes fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.8%. As regards tsh it should be between 3 to 4 mu/l and bp shpuld be 120 to 130 / 70 to 80 mm hg. Thanks.
