My daughter she is 17 year and her weight is 35. She is so underweight and she cleared 10th now, in July she will be go for college, and she is feeling so shamed although she having a proper diet also but she can't gain weight. Hi, To gain weight, eat more calories. Eat every 2-3 hours. Have 6 -7 meals in a day with healthy and high calorie foods. Include milkshakes, cheese sandwiches, paneer or aloo parathas in your breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be 3 - 4 chapatis with vegetable, rice and dal. Add a sweet dish after meals. In between snacks can be cookies, ice-creams, juices, dry fruits like kaju, kismis, badaam, peanuts, dhoklas, idlis, bhelpuri, aloo chaat etc. Cannot comment on use of supplements.

To gain weight you can follow these steps. 1. Take two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. 2. Eat 20 almonds & 5 dates daily. Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, banana shakes etc. 3.
