Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the query. Where in you have mentioned about high uric acid (11.2 mg/100 ml), plus you are on keratin medications like pragabalin, febuxostat 40 mg. You have also mentioned about sexual dysfunction and presence of diabetes. But nothing about blood glucose levels, hba1c% and whether you have diabetes, what is the current treatment. Plus whether do you have arthritis related to high uric acid. Please also let me know pragabalin is being used? It has got nothing to with uric acid. Therefore, the information is not clear and full. Please give following details: 1) whether you have any arthritis. Like gout? 2) why are you on pragabalin? Because it is invariably used for treating diabetes related peripheral neuropathic pain. 3) is your diabetes in control? What are the following values fbg, pp glucose, hba1c% and lipid profile? 4) are you aware that with a bmi of 32.02 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter), you are already in grade 1 obesity and progressing towards grade 2? There is an excess of over 25 kgs weight? 5) what is is your routine diet and do you exercise regularly? Please come back with all these detailsbefore I can give any advice. Thanks.
Along with uric acid lowering medicines, you should take low purine diet.
You should do-- watch your weight. Eat fresh fruit, vegetables, whole wheat products and some pulses (high in purine) every day. Enjoy low-fat milk and dairy products daily. Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid alcohol if you smoke, stop it. Add more fiber to your diet. Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains, which provide complex carbohydrates. Avoid foods and beverages with high-fructose corn syrup, and limit consumption of naturally sweet fruit juices. Good sources of low-purine nuts and seeds include walnuts, almonds, flaxseeds and cashew nuts. U can take one handful of these nuts (mixed) everyday curd is very good for you.
