Hello, Hypothyroidism is a disorder that interferes with the metabolism of the body hence weight loss becomes difficult compared to normal individual. Reduce your gluten intake i.e foods like wheat and wheat products including maida and food products should be reduced as it reduces iodine uptake and suppresses thyroid function in the body, also avoid taking simple sugars from candies and juices. Include more of leafy vegetables, nuts, fish if non-vegetarian, tomatoes. A diet high in fat, moderate protein and low in carbohydrate is good for hypothyroidism. Avoid junk food. Exercise if a must for weight reduction, since you have a small baby I understand it is difficult to go to gym, but you have other ways, take small walks, try and do your household chores by yourself since the baby is 3 years old you can take the baby along with you to the park and play along with him. Try to think of ways to be active and avoid excuses as far as possible and also do not forget to take your thyroid medications first thing in the morning.
