I have hypertension and gastric trouble and also feel stressed sometimes. What kind of tests do I need to go for to rule out the cardiac issue? I don?t smoke and have no family history.

Cardiac pain usually occur during activity, it will be associated with nausea, vomiting profuse sweating. The pain may radiate towards your jaws, neck, left shoulder and arms, back and upper stomach. Since you have hypertension, kindly visit a physician and take the appropriate medicines in adequate dosage. You have to also rule out diabetes and dyslipidemia (high cholesterol in blood) as they increase your risk for cardiac disease. To specifically check for cardiac health you might need to do a tmt test (treadmill test) and a echocardiography. A routine ecg is not sufficient to rule out cardiac diseases. Kindly consult a specialist for further management and care.
