Hi, thank's for your query. Your fbs/ppbs values are on the higher side. Hence its definitely in your best interest to consider restarting ohas (oral hypoglycaemic agents. It would be a good idea to start on metformin and low dose glimipride along with strict diabetic diet and exercise. Regarding aging and diabetic drugs am not sure what medications you were on previously. But as far as studies go for example, miles (metformin in longevity study) metformin through several mechanisms have been infact shown to delay the aging process, resulting in improved health span.
