Dear Lybrateuser, - the levels have to be monitored which your treating doctor will tell you & if the levels come down which may take a few months then the doses can be reduced depending on the progress - also to reduce the levels you will have to follow a strict lifestyle including proper diet, exercise, reduction in weight, proper sleep & reduced stress - the medicines can only be stopped if you are able to reach & maintain optimum blood levels with the lifestyle changes or may have to be taken lifelong.
