Hello I am suffering thyroid problem. My thyroid report show TSH 96. 5mh. My problem sleeping, headache ,breathing problem ,weakness.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -: 1) Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor Endocrinologist and as per your test report discuss synthetic thyroid hormone levothyroxine and take it regularly, start from 50 mcg and measure TSH every 3 months and adjust the dose. 2) Try to avoid Iron supplements, Cholestyramine, Aluminum hydroxide, which is found in some antacids and Calcium supplements etc 3) Do take a multivitamin caps regularly like REJUVIT PLUS CAPS once a day at bedtime. 4) Regarding diet follow like this - Some diet suggestions for hypothyroidism include: a) Take foods high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids such as leafy green vegetables, salmon, nuts, seeds, and shrimp etc b) Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. D) Foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, soy, beans, and spinach can actually slow down the functioning of the thyroid so they should be eaten in small quantities. E) Try to avoid artificial sweeteners, caffeine, dairy, and alcohol when on a diet for hypothyroidism. 5) Do yoga poses such as the Sun Salutation, the Dead Mans pose, the Wind-Relieving pose, Head to Knee Pose, the Fish pose and the breathing techniques are vital for providing energy, improving blood circulation and relaxing the nervous system along with improving the functioning of the thyroid gland.
