Now I have done my thyroid test and the report shows the tsh value 0.406.is it normal to fluctuate the value in one month. Can I plan for pregnancy now?

Yes, it is normal. As you have just started medicine. It takes time to set the dosage. Don?t worry. Consult your attending physician.

Yes it is possible.you should get it tested after atleast 6 weeks of initiation of treatment because it takes time to stabilize. For pregnancy it is desirable to keep TSH around 2.

Hello, thanks for the query. Ideally with treatment tsh should be maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l. However, if pregnancy is desired then tsh should be maintained <2 mu/l. Your present level is a bit lower than the lower limit of 0.5 mu/l. However, it is good to plan for pregnancy. Plus throughout the gestation period it has to be maintained around 2 mu/l. I am sure endocrinologist might have already told about this. Thanks.
