My mother is 63 years old. She retired from a government service 3 years ago. Due to retirement and and certain issues at home she started to look sad and depressed. Few months ago she started to act very angry, irritated and forgetful. We consulted a psychiatrist and he diagnosed her illness with depression and prescribed 3 medicines. Amixide, lonazep and rexipra. She is taking amixide and rexipra currently from past 3 months but have stopped taking lonazep after 1 -2 months as advised by him. But the issue is that she does not remember some of the major recent events. Like 6 months or 1 years old happenings. She is also complaining of light headedness, dizziness. We conveyed this problems to the doctor but he is blaming everything to her age and told to continue with the same medicine. We got her blood tested for b12 which was above normal as she was taking b complex capsules. She is a diabetic patient and her bp is normally in the range of 150 and 65 kindly suggest something.
