You can have warm milk before sleeping. Eat dark chocolate once a while. Drink good amount of water. Have a target of walking daily, challenge your self to do a difficult job, this will keep you occupied. Understand one life, you can't get depressed. You are losing your precious time.

I am a patient of depression since 15 years taking medicine are Veniz xr 75 x 3, oleanz 2.5 and etizolam .5 x 3 times. But at present I feel very sadness and unknown fear early in the morning. Would you please advice that after taking medicine why I am feeling sadness mood no encouragement. Thank you.

Not only is an idle mind a devil's workshop but depression will get at you if you are not occupied. It is nightmare for many people in distress. So do keep yourself occupied but not busy. It is also likely that you have depression. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do calisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Hi Lybrate user just try to live in the moment. When we worry, we think about the future and what might happen. Try to identify your thoughts you can write what you think, you can discuss it with your close relative or friend. You can take some small but powerful steps whenever you feel over thinking just divert your attention, do some physical activities indulge yourself in your favourite hobbies. Sometime you may feel that it is difficult to control what you think say yourself- These are just thoughts and they are not truth. Remind yourself that no one knows what the future holds and if you suffer overthinkig mind your predictions are mostly built from self doubt. You can start yoga and meditation and morning walk. Try to stay in the present and focus on the moment, eat healthy sleep well and try to enjoy your life. Thanks.

Hello The above mentioned symptoms are indicative of mood disorder. However it needs to be evaluated in details for proper diagnosis and treatment. Kindly consult a psychiatrist or psychologist for the same.

My family member looks in depression by remembering 25-30 year little issues, like not taking in Tour that days etc. Now we are well to do but she has lost interest saying that why not in young age. We enjoyed on those days according to our status. This is called depression?

Hi, Can I take melzap 0.5 daily as I am having problem with anxiety beside this am taking lurasidone 20 mg. For bipolar depression does melzap effects my sexual function. Or is it safe to take both am not having any other health issues. Like bp sugar etc pls suggest.

If you are having anxiety daily. Consult years psychiatrist and take medicines accordingly. Melzap is a good medicine but taking it for longer time or prolonged period is not recommended. Thanks.

Overthinking or worrying can be disturbing. You can use relaxation techniques. Pen down your chain of thoughts that could be causing worry. Eat healthy and also exercise for 20-30 moms each day. Talk to a trusted friend and look at differenr coping strategies. In addition you can consult a psychologist for a session to help you with calming your thoughts.

Hi, along with medication you can always listen music. But excess of everything is bad whether it is a good thing like music . Loud music for long time will not only harm your peace of mind but also your ear drums too. I would suggest you to take your medicine at a particular time. Also Go to sleep and wake up strictly at a particular time. Use alarm clock or take someone's help in waking you up and leave your bed strictly at a particular time irrespective of your sleep. It will take ten days to form a new habit. Also inculcate a healthy lifestyle with proper diet exercise and rest. 40 minutes daily of vigorous physical exercise is a must.
