Sir, I am getting excessive daytime sleepiness even after using at modafinil I am feeling the same is which disorder I went through thyroid test and Andrea every thing is perfect y is it happening so? Is there any medicine for that?

Hi lybrate-user, you already have a diagnosis of sleep Apnea. If it is obstructive and if you have been prescribed CPAP/BIPAP then its use would be of great help in decreasing your day time sleepiness. Modafinil may help in reducing day time sleepiness but does not replace PAP therapy. Then also check your sleep time .If you do not sleep for adequate hours (about 8 hours) you are likely to feel sleep during day though some people require less hours of sleep with affecting there day time activities. Practicing Sleep hygiene helps and so is achieving ideal body weight. Your BMI is 28.5. Your correct age is not mentioned.
