Diet and lifestyle changes can help reduce BP to a certain extent. Please pay attention to the salt content. Should not be taking more than 3/4 th teaspoon a day. Avoid pickled, and fried stuff as it contains preservatives in the form of salt. Include food rich in potassium such as spinach, banana, melons etc. Get at least 30- 35 minutes of routine exercise, I am assuming that you would be doing more than that as part of your job. Ayurvedic medications are available for BP, but diet plays a very important role in primary hypertension.

Being serving soldier, I am sure your lifestyle is very active and healthy, high BP at this young age can have some underlying reason, please see your doctor for detailed evaluation for secondary hypertension. Please don't bother about allopathy, if a medicine is required to keep your BP in control, it's good to take it, also cut down on high salt and fatty stuff.
