I am 35 years old my height is 5 feet 4 inches my weight is 40 kg, I have IBS problem and many time constipation or indigestion and gastric problem, and mota hone wala thyroid bhi hai. I am taking thyronorm 25 mcg'for thyroid and librax 5 mg + 2.5 mg for IBS, I want to ask you that m I taking right medicine, will it be effective? My thyroid report is this - T3 -73.99 mg/dl, T4 -9.59 ug/dl, TSH 3.38 uiu/ml. But after taking librax tablets my loose motion have not stopped, should I continue it or not. I am taking this medicine for 3 days.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Your thyroid hormone levels are within normal limits. So there is no need to change anything. As regards taking Librax tablets, it is a combination of chlordizepoxide a tranquilizer and clidinium bromide an anticholinergic, to reduce abdominal pain. It might have been given because of your IBS It helps in relaxing your mind. If you are feeling fine with it may continue. I am sure by now you must be aware how to manage your IBS, as it is not a completely curable condition. Needs lifestyle adjustment and taking correct foods. Thanks.
