You are having diabetes. And also I see your weight is high. More than your weight your abdominal circumference should be reduced. Diabetes is a lifestyle disease. So you have to correct your lifestyle. There must be combination of 1. Physical activity 2. Diet 3. Sleep hygiene. 4. Medicines (only as support to all of the above lifestyle modification) 1. I suggest you to use a step counter or fitness back to keep track of the number of steps you make each day. For the first week start with 3000 steps. Increase 1000 steps each week and in 7 weeks you will reach 10000 steps. Also there is an inactivity alert in the fitness band to make sure you dont remain idle for more than 30 minutes. 2. Diet fibre rich low calorie diet. Start breakfast early (before 7 am) chose among with skimmed milk and egg whites (without yolk), or roti (2 if small, 1 if big) with dal. You can have an apple or guava at 10 AM with sprouts. Lunch should be before 1 pm you can use your own choice but avoid fried food, portion size is the key if rice (1 cup), if roti 2 if small or 1 if big) and 1 cup of dal you should have two cups of vegetables preferably steamed and not fried in oil. Evening snack at before 4 pm. Can have skimmed milk tea or coffee with boiled beans or peas. Dinner should be the lightest meal and should be taken no later than 8 pm. You can have vegetable salad or cut fruits or a very light small portion of meal of your choice. Medicine: metformin 500 mg thrice daily after each meal Important: things you should report your progress to a physician and there will be 0.5 to 1 kg weight loss per week. Also blood test for thyroid profile, lipid profile fasting and post prandial glucose after 3 weeks.
