Hello, thanks for the query. Madam I have seen the details given. Please understand that hypothyroidism is a hormone (thyroxine) deficiency disorder, which means your thyroid is either unable to produce the said hormone or is producing very little quantity. This hormone (t4) is required every day in our body for maintaining a number of metabolic activities like maintaining body temperature, heart rate, energy levels, skin texure, normal menstrual cycles, and many more functions plus maintaining normal brain functionng. Therefore, it has to be supplemented in the required quantity from outside every day for lifetime. There is no other treatment. Another aspect is that for having normal menstrual cycle, normal ovulation and later (after marriage) for getting pregnant this hormone is essential. If you have any questions please do come back. Lack the hormone also causes rapid weight gain. Thanks.
