I have a hashimoto thyroid. I am taking eltroxin 100 mcg since last 10 years. Can I take ashwagandha to improve our hashimoto thyroid problem.

Hello; thanks for the query. I have seen the details. Whether ashwagandha has any effect on the autoimmune condition like hashimoto's is difficult answer. Some studies have mentioned it has beneficial effect in normalising the thyroid hormone levels. But no conclusive evidence is there however, only confirmed treatment for ht causing hypothyroidism is taking adequate dosage of levothyroxine. Thanks.
