Hello, thanks for the query. The thyroid hormone levels suggest she has hyperthyroidism. So carbamizole needs to be continued. (dosage is not mentioned). Usually that drug needs to be given for 18 months to 24 months. Once tsh levels comes around 3 to 4 mu/l (or normal range) then tablets can be discontinued. In quite a few cases hyperthyroidism is reversed. However, in a few patients it may come back after a few months. That needs to be observed with once is 3 to 6 months check up of thyroid profile.
