Hello, thanks for the detailed explanation. Weight loss occurs when diabetes remains undetected due to loss of glucose through urine. Once glucose control is achieved, everything settles down. Even weight gain can occur. But most important is to to follow a modified lifestyle. At 53 years with your current weight 65 kgs very much correct (bmi 23.13 kgs). Your diet should give you about 1300 calories per day. 3 chapaties per meal is more than needed. It has to be 2 chapaties per meal. Pleanty of green leafy vegetables, salads and certain fruits (papaya, pomegranate, orange, sweet lime, apple, guava, pear, kiwifruit, watermelon & other melons). Bananas occasionally (small ones). Plenty of curd and butter milk. In this detail there is no mention of your glucose levels and hba1c%, as I am not having your earlier details for reference. Anyways, I hope you control the glucose levels well. Thanks.
