Hello, Thanks for the query. Since you have hypothyroidism, it is absolutely necessary to maintain TSH around 3 to 4 mU/l, to be free from all the symptoms including weight gain. Once TSH is brought to desired level, then you will have to concentrate on proper diet, caloric intake and regular exercise. Presently with a BMI of 30.46 kgs/Sq meter, you are already in grade 1 obesity. This has to be controlled, your ideal body weight should be 60 kg, that means you are having an excess of 18 kgs.
