Hi Sir, I have reduced my weight from 111 kg to 101 kg in 8 months. I have stop taking rice in lunch and dinner and eating Quinoa for lunch and two roti at night. I walk for 5000 steps daily. Does in long term will there be any effect of not eating rice at all on my body?

Rice is not important for our body, carbohydrates are. All grains including rice, wheat and quinoa contain carbs. You can eat unpolished rice in moderate quantity, with more veggies and curries. Most important for you is to avoid packed and processed food like all types of biscuits & breads, pasta, noodles, chocolates, ice creams, chips, soft drinks etc.

Hi, glad that you are working hard to loose weight. You can lose 4 - 6 kg weight every month with our customized daily diet plans. You can consult us via a private chat on Lybrate as we need to understand your food habits, lifestyle, blood group and medical history (if any). You can have either roti or rice for lunch, Quinoa is better for dinner as it is full of protein, and we need to avoid carb for dinner.
