Hi, I am 29 years old. I had TSH level of 6.71 (2 months back) and I was taking eltroxin 25 mg for 2 months. I recently did the retest and TSH level shows 4.04. Should I continue with the same medicine or should I go with lower mg level?

Continue with same medicine with same dose. Also take iodised tata salt in unripe form (in salad ,lassi) we should maintain it near 2.5.

Lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. When hypothyroidism is well controlled, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms are in check. Hence if TSH is 4.04 mU/L, you will have to continue the same dosage of thyroxine. Thanks.
