Simply taking sleeping pills won't fully address your problem. As per Ayurveda, sleeplessness is due to imbalance in Vata. Treatment begins with adopting proper and regulated lifestyle of punctuality and peacefulness. Make sure you are regularly eating healthy, fresh, and home cooked food, preferably with cow ghee, paneer, and Vata balancing herbs such as cinnamon. Drink warm milk with herbs such as cardamom and jatamansi before going to bed. Practice meditation for 5 to 10 minutes daily before to bed. Also, it is good to restrict using phone or TV at least 1 hour before your bedtime.
