lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. When one is on appropriate treatment for diabetes and takes a restricted diet and does regular exercise, blood glucose is supposed to be well maintained. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP around 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Since all the necessary details are not given, it is difficult to comment or give any suggestions However, looking at your weight and height, it is clear that with a BMI of 29.16 kgs/M2 (normal < 23 kgs/M2), you are close to being in grade 1 obesity. Your ideal body weight should be around 55 kgs. Weight reduction will help in better blood glucose control. Plus there may be a need for upgrading the present treatment. So please come in a private conversation with following details: fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile, BP reading. Then I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescriptions if needed. Thanks.
