I am a thyroid patient. I take 125 mg pill every day on morning. After 3 mnth I checked my thyroid. Its normal then should I change my pill or should I take low mg pill please suggest.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. When you are on treatment with levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, then TSH should be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L, for remaining free from all symptoms. Since you have not mentioned the actual TSH levels, it is not possible to give any opinion. However, please understand that due to treatment TSH does come to normal level, that does not mean one should reduce the dose. Repeated alteration of dosage can affect the out come. Thanks.
