Hi lybrate-user, you can use Muesli, but make sure firstly its not loaded with only rice or corn flakes but also combined with several other options which are complex in nature such as whole wheat or ragi or oats flakes. Muesli must be low on sugar and you can avoid maple syrup or fructose syrup based sweetened muesli, choose more of an organic muesli instead. It is also a good option pre workout than post workout as post workout you must have fast absorbed carbs such as mixed grapefruit juice, watermelon, banana or glucose first and then have fast absorbed protein. Also as a pre workout meal add egg whites with a yolk or a whey protein shake in skim milk for slow absorbed effect pre workout. Another suggestion is to divide carbohydrates throughout the day on muscle gain along with protein at every meal (ratio of carbs more is to protein ). Also weight training with low reps and higher intensity is the key to seeing results on muscle gain.
