Doctor has diagnosed symptoms of thyroid. What precautions I should take so that my disease is cured?

If the diagnosis is hypothyroidism, then treatment with thyroxine tablets is for life time. Precautions are do not take soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Also avoid high fat milk products, sweetened aerated drinks and fructose corn syrup containing products. Plus diet should be controlled so that weight is not increased as hypothyroidism leads to weight increase.
