Hello, thanks for the query. Madam I have seen the details. Your tsh is 7.4 mu/l, which is sub-clinical hypothyroidism. This situation usually does not need any treatment. Patient is asked to observe for a few months. Then check the tsh & t4 levels after 3 months and if tsh levels go beyond 10 mu/l & there symptoms of hypothyroidism seen then levothyroxine is prescribed. Dosage depends on patients age, weight, height & tsh as well as t4 levels. Your t4 levels are quite good. Please let me know if you have any symptoms related to this condition. Or if you are married and looking to have a baby. Please come back with all the answers, then I will be able to advise. Thanks.

It depends on your previous tsh values. If it's the first time you need to check tpo antibodies. If you're asymptomatic I will prefer to leave it aside. However if the antibody test is positive there's a strong chance that you might need thyroid replacement in the future.
