I am 55 years old diabetic for last 6 years my rbs is 194 and cholesterol is 153 I am taking gemer. 5 in the morning. And linagliptin 20/500 and statin 5 mg at night hba1c is 9 please inform whether I can change present medication. Bp normal micro albumin normal please advice me.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given RBG 194 mg is quite high. Similarly HbA1c% 9% shows that diabetes is not at all in control. There is a need to upgrade the overall treatment. That is to look at your dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise and drugs intake. I am sure you are aware that in a well controlled diabetic patient FBG should be <100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.5%.
