Hello, Thanks for the query. TSH 6.33 mU/L is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. No treatment is advocated at this level. If a person has presence of uncontrolled symptoms even at that value, then L-thyroxine is prescribed. Clinically hypothyroidism is diagnosed when TSH goes beyond 10 mU/L. When one is put on Levothyroxine TSH does go down. Normal range is 0.5 to 5 mU/L. In short yes reduction is possible. Thanks.
