Hi, Yesterday I had BP hike and I go for the test and all that and reports shows control so please suggest me what should I do in future.

Dear lybrate-user, - To keep your BP under control follow some lifestyle measures:- have a salt restricted diet, avoid fried, processed and junk food, also restrict tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day if you have more, avoid alcohol & smoking if you do - have more of fibre containing foods such as fruits vegetables whole grains instead of refined ones, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, nuts (a handful of unsalted mixed nuts only per day), have low fat milk and dairy products, healthy fats as in fish, olive or canola oil for cooking, avocados, nuts & seeds such as flax, chia - do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming daily for half an hour, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 5-10 min to relax your mind & body & to keep fit - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep and wake up time fixed - monitor BP regularly.
