Dear Dr. Greetings I am 30 years old and suffering from hypertension and CKD from last 3 month. At present I am using bp medication as given- Embeta-XR, amlogard, arkamin, Dytor, minipress and Lipicure. After using that medication as advised by Dr. I have my BP about 135-40/85-90 with pulse rate 60-70. But some time I observed a frequent change in my heart rate too down 47-55. What I have to do? Thanx.

Change diet and lifestyle. Hypertension is a lifestyle disease which requires only lifestyle changes and no medicine is needed provided the triggers are identified and treated. BP medicines can cause complications you should be aware of it. Ask your treating doctor and read about it to avoid new complications. Doctors lack nutrition knowledge have vested monetary interests and they do incomplete testing and do not give lifestyle advice which will cure your elevated Bp without medicines .Never believe in the lies told by doctors that you have to take BP medicines lifelong. Reversible causes of BP like Mineral, Vitamin deficiency, high calorie diet, Thyroid disease ,Stress etc needs to be excluded and treated which will cure your high BP. 1) Detailed history including dietary & lifestyle habits needed in addition to medical, occupational ,& environment history 2) Comprehensive lab testing needed which should have tests for inflammation and mineral deficiency. Get detailed dietary and lifestyle advice based on the basis of detailed history and lab tests results. Follow these 2 steps to avoid life long medications and both medicine and hypertension induced complications and Doctor shopping. Send feedback with name ,contact number and take consult. Rule out any structural heart disease by doing Echo, and TMT. If all your test results are normal and if you are still having high BP it clearly indicates your Dr. Has not addressed the root cause of the BP. Change your diet, lifestyle, and take consult if you want to reverse your high BP and get off your medications for ever by natural methods.

Keep a watch on your heart rate, if you feel giddy, then I think your embeta XR dose needs to be reduced, further advice can only be given after a doctor examines you.
