My blood pressure since last week is above 130/90. Hasn't came down to 120/80 but has extended till 150/102. I am not under any hypertensive medication. Using Acimol-Mr for cervical pains. How can this be managed? I am hesitant to start antihypertensive therapy which is long term. Can any ayurvedic drug or short drug therapy be used?

You are 22 years. So there are chances of getting the B.P to normal. Give a period of 2 months. You need to have salt restricted diet, have small quantities of nutritious meal with minimal oil at regular intervals (you may visit a good dietitian. Your weight needs to be in control. You need to start a strict mild to moderate exercise routine like brisk walking to start with. Total stop on outside and fat ladden food. Do regular breathing exercise. And you need to tackle stress well in case you are facing .seek advice and talk it out with an experienced person whom you trust. Despite of everything if still your BP reading is high then you need to visit the doctor.
