Hello, In general smoking cigarettes exposes a person to 72 different kinds of harmful chemicals which can cause various types of cancers (oral, gastric, lung, reproductive system to name a few) So in unequivocal terms, smoking is BAD! Your medicines list shows a cocktail of medicines for schizophrenia (Amisant) to anxiety & major depressive disorder (Amixide-H, Sarotena) Hence, you need to talk with your Psychiatrist to reduce/optimize some of these medicines in order to help you become symptom free. Many a times, just a little dose adjustment does the trick to help you get better. Good Luck.

Hi lybrate-user! Hope you have read in the cigarette pack, theatre and at certain places that cigarette smoking is injurious to health, but still many of them ignore and continue to smoke. Actually smoking consists of poisonous materials stuffed in it, which will cause lung damage, throat cancer, mouth cancer and many more. The smoke is also not good for body. Actually I am not aware, why you started smoking was it for friends, fun or an addiction or for relaxing. Whatever the reason may be as the years went by your mental tolerance power has decreased to an extent that you cannot handle even a simple problem in life, which a non-smoker can easily solve and walk happily. Because the smoke gets mixed in the oxygen you intake and your lungs gets air bags are filled with smoke and slowly it starts turning into lung cancer and throat cancer. For e.g, light a sheet of paper for an wooden piece, let it burn keep your hand near that burning piece, notice how the texture of your skin gets changed, this if continued, your hand exposed to the burning piece continuously what will happen imagine. We human beings are not made up of stone, we are of tender skin, we are of flesh and blood. We need to take care of yourself in such a way that what our body can withstand. If we become addicted our mental health also is spoiled, no tolerance power, lack of concentration, getting irritated to silly things, etc, To know more contact a Professional Psychologist at your locality or you can seek a online Psychologist.
