There has to be some reason for loosing such weight. Taking blind treatment may not help and even may harm. Consult and take proper homoeopathic treatment.

Hi, underweight can have multiple reasons like hereditary, stress ,hyperthyroidism or other hormonal imbalance. Weight is a sum total of bone, water, muscle and fat. You need to gain muscle to get healthy. Have a well balanced diet. Eat 6-8 meals a day. Have carbohydrate and protein rich food combinations like banana or mango milkshake, mix nuts and dryfruit chikkis, soya or paneer veg rolls etc. Include high biological value proteins which are very well absorbed like- milk, curd, paneer, meat, fish, eggs etc. Include essential fats like almonds, walnut, flaxseeds etc. Eat on waking up and do have a bed time meal like milk and light snack. Do not fast or overeat as this will not help. Exercise for 30-40 minutes about 3-4 days a week. Weight training is the preferred form of activity as it will help in muscle growth and weight gain.

Hi lybrate-user, first please try to assess has anything changed in your schedule or are you in any kind of stress. Has your physical activity increased or is your sleeping pattern is disturbed. As you have mentioned that your age is 70 years and as we age, we lose muscles and its absolutely natural. You can get your body analysis done in every 15 days and check your muscle mass% and that could be the reason of your weight loss. Whereas diet is concerned, try to have good quality protein in every meal. Try to increase calories in your main meals to gain weight but don't overeat. Improve the nutritional quality of the meal and not just quantity. Mid meals will help you to cover up with your calories intake. So try to include some snacks in between your meals it could be nuts, fruits smoothie, roasted peanuts etc also focus on adding good quality fats in your diet in form of nuts and seeds, peanut butter etc. Try include some physical activity in the form of strength/resistance training to gain muscles.
