It shows your blood sugar on the day of fasting and pp test was normal but hba1c 6.5 is high which suggests average blood sugar was high for the last 3 months. You should avoid excess intake of sugar and sweets and exercise regularly. Keep your weight maintained and if overweight reduce it. Monitor blood sugar regularly.

Sir, I have seen your report and pls don't be worried about it. It's diabetes, but it's easy to manage and you can be non diabetic with little hard work. What is important for you is weight reduction, bcoz your bmi is 27.9. So try for medical nutrition therapy and exercise. Check your lipid profile, serum creatinine, lft & thyroid profile. Monitor your bp. Be relax. You can do it.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Both FBG & PP are with in normal range. But HbA1c% is showing the diabetic value. Following are the values for diagnosis : 1)Normal : FBG 70 to 100 mg, PP < 140 mg, HbA1c% < 5.7%. 2)Pre-diabetic : FBG 101 to 125 mg, PP 141 to 199 mg & HbA1c% 5.7% to 6.4% 3)Diabetes : FBG 126 mg and above, PP 200 mg and above & HbA1c% 6.5% and above. You appear to be on the border line. Another important aspect is your weight with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 27.9 2 kgs/Sq meter (Normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter). So you have an excess of over 13 kgs. This is an invitation to diabetes. Particularly if your parents or siblings are having diabetes. So please give a serious look at your lifestyle, which includes diet, exercise and weight control plus things like avoiding alcohol and smoking, junk foods etc. Thanks.
