Dear Lybrateuser, - the best way to keep active & fit is to follow a healthy lifestyle including a well balanced diet, regular exercise, proper sleep & keep stress levels low - have more of fruits, vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, milk & dairy products, tofu, beans, lentils, sprouts peas and nuts - include healthy fats as in fish, olive & canola oil for cooking, avocados, nuts & seeds such as flax & chia - include a protein rich food in each of your meals and also as a snack in-between meals to boost your protein content to provide you with continuous energy throughout the day - have plenty of oral fluids including 8-10 glasses of water per day for proper hydration - do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, pushups, pullups, crunches, squats and also moderate weight lifting for 10-15 min twice a week to keep your body fit - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep and wake up time fixed - keep your stress levels low by listening to music or doing yoga, meditation and deep breathing or by following a hobby - a healthy & positive lifestyle only will keep you active & fit & in good health.
